What is a Yurt?
For those of you who are not familiar with what a yurt is -- it is a unique dwelling that originated in Mongolia. It is a spacious, circular shaped building that blends beautifully with nature's surrounding, made with 7 foot tall walls of durable insulated fabric with a dome skylight and a cane shaped vaulted roof, all built over a wood frame on a wood deck.

Inside the Yurts
The yurts include comfortable beds and/or sofa sleeper(s) with fitted sheets, Propane heater, propane lamps & propane cooktop (the propane is provided), upright icebox (for food storage), countertops and shelving, dining table and chairs, dish pans, tea kettle, bucket, broom, and dustpan. Each yurt site includes parking for two vehicles (one room yurt has parking for only one vehicle), plus there is a picnic table and a campfire ring. A small two person tent may also be put up on the yurt site.

There is one outhouse close to the two bedroom yurts, and one outhouse approx 100 feet from the one room and one bedroom yurts.  Bottled drinking water is provided by the store for each night in the yurt.  Washing water is also provided in 5 gallon containers at the Yurts.

What to Bring for the Yurts
Bedding, cookware, dinnerware, and utensils.  If you forget something be sure to ask the store clerk about loaner supplies.

Check-in is at 4pm and Check-out is at 11am.  We clean the yurts in between.

***NOTE: The showers are currently closed down.  There are currently no showers at Olallie.
